Essential functions and responsibilities:
Plan, design, develop, and operate PCBA test equipment and test fixture software for electronic products.
Confer with manufacturing and design engineering personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions
Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by engineering, manufacturing and management personnel.
Implement proprietary communication protocols for communicating with external devices via Bluetooth, USB/HID and UART protocols.
Develop Java-based RESTful APIs for web and embedded platforms
Develop and package multi-platform software for Windows and macOS for end users.
Position skills:
Expertise with LabView and National Instruments TestStand
Expertise with Electronic Hardware Design using Altium or similar designer
Familiarity with Python, Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Desired
Familiarity with relational database schema definition and query design/optimization
Understanding of RESTful service design
Solid broad-based knowledge of analog, digital and RF circuits.
Ability to read electronic schematics and layouts.
Familiarity with GitFlow, continuous integration/delivery, etc.
Must maintain a high level of energy and positive attitude through challenging situations and project demands.
Willingness and enthusiasm to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
Position requirements:
BS, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Three years of experience in an engineering position
Must have applied experience with Labview, National Instruments TestStand, SQL and other test equipment Software in an automated factory environment
Experience developing front end web portals with HTML, CSS or JavaScript
Experience with Linux operating systems
Experience with Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone or other single board computer platforms
Experience with SolidWorks and ability to read mechanical design drawings desired
Experience with RF Instruments such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters desired
Development experience using Kotlin Multi-Platform for Android and iOS App Development a plus
Ability to work additional hours as needed to resolve production issues
Willing to travel overseas for Contract Manufacturer site visits and equipment commissioning
