JOB SUMMARY

The Global Energy and Environmental Senior Manager will lead Jabil's strategy to ensure the successful attainment of the carbon reduction targets and implementation of a Carbon Action Plan across all operations globally. The successful candidate will:


  • Lead and motivate the segment and business energy champions to success.

  • Assess and drive action that supports core values regarding mitigation and prevention related to the environmental impact of our operations.  

  • Work with business leaders to get buy-in to the strategy and investment needs.

  • Work collaboratively with business leaders and functional leaders in supply chain, facilities etc.

  • Use expertise to determine best technologies for Jabil`s energy/GHG strategy.

  • Align GHG activities to Science Based Targets and CDP.

  • Help to develop environmental standards and expectations for continual improvement.

  • Create and manage performance of Centers of Best Practice (CoBP) led by SMEs for waste, water and resource management.

  • Utilize tools to track changes and identify cost impact for review with executive management.

  • Provide technical and strategic leadership for data collection, input into the global EHS management system.

  • Responsible to ensure the right balance between standards, risk, industry challenges and value-add to business model.

  • Support the EHS Management Systems development in the Environmental and Energy areas.

  • Apply knowledge of: Regulations, treaties, taxes and other regional/governmental/trade obligations related to carbon emissions and carbon in products; Benchmarking versus competitors, customers and other leading companies; Technical leadership on energy efficiency measures, green energy production technologies and cost effective Power Purchase Agreements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


  • Extremely adept in technical aspects of Energy and environment with proven experience in these fields.

  • Experience in crafting communications aimed at influencing individuals throughout all levels of a global company (C-Suite through individual contributors)

  • Experience dealing with complex and sensitive issues related to energy and environment

  • Emotional, political and business acumen

  • Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries


  • Strong financial and analytical ability.  Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.

  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.

  • Strong and convincing communication skills.

  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in large manufacturing organization and at least 2 years' experience in leadership/management role in environmental/energy required.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, experience and / or training.

  • Prior work experience in an international/global company preferred.

  • Industry consortium and stakeholder engagement acumen desired.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, experience and / or training.
