Business Analysis Lead Analyst - Work from home at Cigna in Bloomfield, Connecticut

This is a technical role within the Process Performance organization under Network Solutions and Operations. This position supports the reporting and web based interface tools for quality oversight teams that audit Healthcare Professional (HCP) data. Occupant must be able to interpret complex HCP data in various relational databases, build queries using SQL, and execute/maintain SAS databases that generate reports for the audit teams. Ability to build Tableau dashboards is also a preferred skillset for this position. Occupant will consistently perform in depth analysis and quantification of data while applying data governance best practices.

This role is closely engaged with internal and external teams who share the common goal of improving quality outcomes and overall customer experience by influencing the accuracy of HCP contract, demographic, network, and reimbursement data. Occupant must be open to continuous change in a working environment that is evolving at a rapid pace.

Duties include:

• Execution and maintenance of repeatable processes that generate audit reports


• Building and maintaining queries using SQL


• Completion of intake requests from audit teams


• Close engagement with audit teams to understand their business requirements


• Pushing self-service reports to Cognos


• Creating and maintaining documentation for all supported processes


• Assisting and backing up other team members and the processes they support


• Support of other business processes as needed

Qualifications - Required:

• 3+ years' working knowledge/experience in SQL


• Adept critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex data relationships and terminology


• Strong data mining skills


• Highly motivated with an eagerness to learn new technologies and data concepts quickly


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with peers and matrix partners


• Solid oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse groups


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite


• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities that differ in complexity and scope


• Commitment to continuous self-learning and development

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related discipline, or equivalent work experience preferred

• Knowledge of HCPM and CPF provider systems


• Knowledge of HCP contract, demographic, network, and reimbursement data

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
