As the NetApp Solutions Business Planning Principal, you will play an overarching strategy role for the Solutions group, in addition to owning some execution and program management responsibilities.

You will help ensure the right strategies and plans are in place - and executed against - to deliver to our growth commitments. Your work will support building holistic solutions, and associated GTM approaches, solving our customers' most pressing challenges while radically simplifying our route to market.

This highly visible role will act as a force multiplier, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in developing and driving NetApp's solutions businesses. You will work seamlessly across multiple groups, including the Sales, Channel, Marketing & Comms, Analyst Relations, Alliances, Engineering, and Services functions.

Key Responsibilities


The role's primary functions are business planning and strategy, operational execution, business metrics and analytics, and program management.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration and serve as the integrator helping to connect workstreams that may otherwise remain siloed. You will shift from strategy to tactical execution comfortably, and as needed.


Job Requirements



  • A demonstrated passion for how solutions can help solve our customers' most pressing challenges, and enhance the value of underlying products, services, and business models.

  • Deep fascination with the customer segments and the markets - both on-premises and in the cloud - that NetApp operates in.

  • Good knowledge of NetApp's products and services, as well as competitive landscape.

  • Experience with prior outbound roles, combined with a career foundation of technical expertise.

  • Comfortable bridging the worlds of product management, sales and channel, business strategy/planning, marketing, services, support, and technology partnerships.

  • High level of integrity and excellent business judgment.

  • Ability to orchestrate strategic and complex cross-functional business activities and projects with sharp business acuity, creativity, and attention to detail.

  • Proven track record of driving results by influencing and directing cross-functional teams with people at different levels and across disparate groups.

  • Financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills across product telemetry, market data, and POS/consumption models.

  • Critical thinking and analytical/problem-solving skills; the ability to combine and balance qualitative analysis with a proven understanding of strategy, operations, interpersonal, and technical competencies.

  • Comfort with ambiguity, proven ability to create clarity.

  • Superlative written & verbal communication skills.


Education



  • 5+ years of helping clients develop/execute GTM and business transformation strategies for a leading consulting firm, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years' experience working across numerous groups/functions in enterprise technology companies, high-growth software or software-related services businesses preferred.

  • A successful track record in a similar role for business units with >$200M run rates.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
