We're looking for a Smelter Quality Auditor to join Alcoa Warrick's team and you might be the perfect fit for this position! Our Warrick Operations is one of the largest aluminum smelting and fabricating facilities in the world. This role is accountable for ensuring key processes and performance measures are consistently maintained within the production area. You will work closely with area management, production, and maintenance personnel to meet area objectives.

The person in this position will make daily audits on key smelter activities with the intent of promoting engagement and operational excellence. Communication is key on this process since the auditor must interact with different levels of the site to provide positive and constructive feedback. Training and on the job coaching must be vital to maximize the performance of the crews on these key tasks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience with quality systems. Smelting knowledge preferred.

  • Computer proficiency including use of Microsoft tools

  • A strong driver for quality and best practices

  • Knowledgeable with lean manufacturing

  • Strong ability to coach hourly, supervisors and general supervisors on the standards and quality systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
