Summary

The Registered Nurse provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in an inpatient setting. The 1E Child/Adolescent Unitat Spring Harbor Hospital specializes in the care of children. We offer a 12-bed unit designed for the care of children, ages 5-22 years old. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents on the autism spectrum.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in inpatient and outpatient facilities.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
  


• 
  License/Certifications: Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
  


• 
  Experience: 1+ year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
  


• 
  Knowledge of counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of mental illness and substance abuse preferred
  


• 
  Knowledge of bio-psychosocial assessments required
