The Director,Credentialingwill maintain high standards of accountability and operate on the principles of a High-Reliability Organization in an effort to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals. This individual is responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and evaluation of the credentialing and licensing functions of providers in the Locums, Allied, and/or Nursing divisions.
Job Tasks:
Serve as the primary advocate for ensuring that the company's screening, retention, evaluation and review processes are aligned to promote clinical excellence and a high standard of patient care.
Provide leadership and vision to the department managers in order to strengthen the individual managers contribution to their team, the department and the overall company.
Maintains a constant assessment of the department vision and redefinition as needed to keep up with the changes in healthcare/ quality services.
Apply creative vision to connect the needs of the client facilities and healthcare providers with the services of the company-- consistently following current practices and regulations and proactively striving to produce complementary programs as they are needed.
Consistently uses continuous improvement techniques to create a dynamic and engaged team.
Strategize, plan, and develop appropriate rewards/recognition for staff and management to effectively promote the department, retain staff, and consistently reach stretch goals.
Develops and presents quarterly executive presentations on department results and solicits feedback on operational and talent strategy to impact company goals.
Develops and maintains relationships with outside vendors that the Quality Service Department utilizes to accomplish segments of the job responsibilities.
Facilitate the communication channels and relationships necessary to create and maintain positive interdepartmental communication.
Education, Certifications & Experience:
Minimum Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education & experience
Preferred Education:
Master's degree
Minimum Experience:
10-15 years experience in Credentialing (or related)
4 years of supervisory experience
