As a part of Cornerstone Building Brands, Great Lakes Windows is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Toledo, OH.


Position Overview:

• Promote & Demonstrate Safe work & Process methods.


• Provide Quality attributes to produce First Time Thru (FTT) production.


• Hands on Team Player.


• Production Process Accountability/Sustainability.


• Maximize production by establishing & improving process methods.


• Assure manufacturing methods are repeatable/consistent/mistake proofed & ergonomic.


• Design & promote efficient line layouts/ process flows in accordance with Demand.


• Flow Technology (DFT); including planning for Kanban inventory; TQC/Verify.


• Time studies & line efficiencies.


• Demonstrate hands on mechanical/engineering of process methods.


• Lead/participate 8D problem solving thru root cause analysis to Permanent corrective actions.


• Work with team for design of Experiments (DOE) improvements.


• Identify Continuous Improvement with emphasis on Scrap reduction.

Education:

• Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering with background in hands on process manufacturing Including industrial, quality, materials, and glass.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in manufacturing engineering in a lean manufacturing environment preferably in-home building/improvement products.


• Operation, planning, budgeting, tooling acquisition & project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer skills in Auto CAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.


• Good understanding of sales & marketing needs.


• Understanding of Operational needs for business.


• Self-directed; self-motivated; self-starter.


• Attention to detail.


• Proven TEAM leadership, project management, problem solving.


• Good interpersonal skills & written communication.


• Good documentation, organization, & record keeping skills.
