The Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for the planning and execution of site improvement projects (Lean & Six-Sigma) to fulfill the strategic objectives of the business.
Partners with site & group leadership to lead the transformation to a culture of operational excellence, environmental, health, & safety, and continuous improvement.
Delivers practical, hands-on training to associates on Lean manufacturing and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions. Measures and reports progress for group level activities on an on-going basis.
Principal Activities
Ensures on-going education of all employees at the Business unit in Lean.
Promotes a Continuous Learning environment through development and delivery.
Communicates the status of all Lean efforts to the Leadership Team. Provides documentation of results.
Analyzes, interprets and recommends the use of Lean methodologies for improved profitability and continued growth, product line repositioning and structural changes, as appropriate.
Works with management to establish the budgetary requirements of the site. Supports budgets, performs analysis, and recommends how to maximize return on investments.
Measurable financial and performance results from projects, Kaizens, and activities
Communicate and report up performance metrics for CI to respective site, group, and corporate parties as required on time and accurately.

Expert knowledge of Excel, and strong knowledge of Word, Power Point, Project, and other applicable tools
Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, technology or science related areas required or equivalent years of experience. Certified lean (CI) required and Six Sigma green-belt (or better) preferred with demonstrated project success.
Must have successfully led multiple Kaizen events within a manufacturing environment. Good understanding of financial measurements and goals.
