Position Summary
The Quality Reporting Specialist will abstract clinical information for externally reported quality measures, review information with clinicians, ensure submission to CMS and other entities within the required timeframe, conduct audits, and support the creation of quality reports as requested. As a Quality Reporting Specialist you will have direct interactions with all levels of staff and have a direct influence and impact on how Senior Leaders move forward with future Southern Maine and MaineHealth goals. In addition, the Quality Reporting Specialist serves as a resource for externally reported quality measures, assists with organization-wide planning to meet reporting requirements, liaisons with software vendors, interprets trends in performance to address gaps in quality, represent the organization initiatives related to clinical performance reporting, and mentors and supports junior team members as needed.
An RN with acute care experience preferred. The position provides learning opportunities and skill building that pave the way to other professions such as Project Management or a Leadership position within the clinical realm. On-the-job training for the responsibilities available for clinicians with a strong abilities in other areas listed below.
