The Claims Examiner I position is responsible for reviewing dental claims for accuracy and compliance with group and Delta Dental processing guidelines.
This position requires the incumbent to report to the Alpharetta, GA. office and will not have opportunities for remote work.

How you will make an impact:


  • Reviews and adjudicates dental claims utilizing personal computer terminals in accordance with company and or regulatory guidelines.

  • Routes claims based on edit messages to appropriate departments based on company and/or regulatory guidelines.

  • This list is not all-inclusive and you are expected to perform other duties as requested or assigned.

What we look for:



  • Position Requirement: a personal computer and remote internet access

  • 2 + years in a dental office or claims adjudication knowledge is preferred.

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration.

  • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.).

  • Analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills; detail orientation.

  • Ability to organize time management and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate problems, questions and explanations.

  • Knowledge of Delta Dental systems or organization and knowledge of health care industry issues preferred.
