What you will be doing:

Within the assigned sales region, manages sales roles for special product categories as well as dealer business managers and/or strategic account managers providing leadership, accountability, and direction for sales activities and dealership performance. Analyzes market information and determines sales, market share, and profitability goals. Develops strategies and plans for achieving the goals. Appropriately develops and deploys Steelcase sales resources within the sales region/focus to optimize business results with all key audiences. Implements approved sales and marketing programs within the sales region/focus.


Required Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of people throughout the company and external audiences. Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

  • In-depth understanding of the contract furniture industry.

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of Steelcase business, strategy and sales philosophy.

  • Strategic selling, negotiation andproblem solvingskills.

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results.

  • Successful track record developing strong business results and relationships with all keyaudiences..

  • Maintain key business relationship in the region with principals of dealerships, A&D firms and key accounts.

  • Resolve conflicts within the distribution channel. Keep regular contact, establish market impact and

  • Demonstrate ability to increase Steelcase mindshare with key audiences.

  • Can step into sales process and have immediate impact to help close business, while coaching development of sales team members.

  • Ability to develop a mindset of Business Development (new and existing accounts) with local team anddealers

  • Ability to balance being a dealer advocate while managing channelconflict

Minimum Qualifications:


  • BS/BA degree (business, economics, etc.) or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years relevant work experience, prior management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of local market/regionpreferred
