RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Asset Management Division - Value Accelerator

The Value Accelerator ("VA") is a critical component of the Asset Management Division investing strategy. In close partnership with the corporate, growth, infrastructure and horizon investment teams, the value accelerator contributes to the success of our portfolio companies through the investment lifecycle from pre-investment diligence, to scaling growth, to optimizing outcomes. The VA team works with experienced senior executives, best-in-class professional services providers, and innovative technology providers to deliver programs and services that add value to our portfolio companies in key areas including revenue scaling, talent, ESG and risk optimization, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

As a member of the VA you will work with deal teams, operating advisors, and senior stake holders to understand how best to identify and deliver value creation opportunities for our portfolio companies.

Overview of Role

The engagement manager serves as a primary point of interaction in delivering VA resources to portfolio company management teams. With a client-service mindset, the engagement manager utilizes strong communication skills to proactively manage interactions which contribute to portfolio company success and drive value creation. The engagement manager utilizes direct marketing and social media channels to effectively communicate the VA value proposition and drive the efficient utilization of VA resources. The engagement manager will coordinate a community of portfolio company management teams and will coordinate events (live and virtual) which contribute to the sense of community and deliver informative content and relationship-building.

Primary Responsibilities

    Establish and refine the Value Accelerator portfolio company engagement strategy to scale the awareness and impact of available VA resources.
  • Own the portfolio company communication strategy and implementation including development of content for regular newsletter highlighting VA resources and events

  • Manage social media channels to drive awareness of and interaction with VA resources

  • Work with internal teams, vendors and experts to develop and manage Value Accelerator events, interviews & trainings (live / pre-recorded) which deliver value to and build community among portfolio company management teams

  • Oversee and help design the Value Accelerator Intra Portfolio Community, a communication and knowledge sharing platform which enables portfolio company management teams to share experiences, access content, and builds a sense of community

  • Facilitate communication between portfolio company leaders facing common challenges and opportunities through direct introductions and developing functional forums (e.g. COO forum)

  • Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities across portfolio companies where synergies exist, including commercial relationships (preferred and discounted services)

  • Act as a central point of contact to assist CEOs and leadership teams in navigating and understanding available VA resources.

  • Collect feedback and metrics from portfolio company management teams in order to help develop and refine the most effective content and resources to be made available to portfolio companies.

Qualifications


  • Client-service experience in financial services, professional services, hospitality, retail, or related field and customer-first attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate professionally across investment teams, portfolio company leadership, and external service providers at all levels

  • Proven experience with designing, developing, marketing and coordinating events across large groups.

  • Experience with digital marketing forms and social / content marketing

  • Project management, organization, attention to detail and desire to efficiently generate the highest caliber of content

  • Self-starter and innovative thinker who can design new high-impact engagement strategies

  • Ability to work well with diverse stakeholder groups, as well as execute independently to meet deadlines

  • Experience held within the Finance, Business, Sales, or Banking industry is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field
