About the Role

In order for our clients to stay competitive, attract top talent and retain quality employees, they need to offer a benefits package that supports the diverse needs of their workforce and give employees more control over their benefits. That's where we come in. We design multi-year benefits programs for employers that have anywhere from 75 to 5,000 employees. Each program is tailored to fit the clients' needs and the diverse needs of all four generations in the workforce (Boomers, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z).

What You Can Expect

As an Account Manager I, you'll help support the account team to ensure our insurance clients' needs are being met daily. Successful delivery of the overall client service experience includes providing ongoing claims, billing and eligibility support, and developing employee education materials.

You'll also be responsible for coordinating plan implementation deliverables like applications, transition of care, ID cards, contract delivery, and administrative portal training.

This is an excellent jumping-off point in the insurance organization where you can learn the in's and out's of employee benefits to prepare for growth into more complex account management and account executive work.

How You'll Spend Your Time


  • You will assist the employee benefits team to deliver superior services and support clients. Our service standards are what set us apart from our competitors.

  • You will need technical skills to assist with data collection, technology implementation, systems testing and auditing plan documents.

  • You will need solid MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Publisher to create employee benefit communication pieces in support of the open enrollment process. This includes collecting carrier collateral and managing client delivery.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: You will use your solid knowledge of product delivery systems, online computer systems, and MS Office to navigate multiple systems.

DETAIL ORIENTED: You will follow our established standards and have good judgment so you can escalate situations when appropriate. A passion for doing the job right the first time brings us joy. Accuracy, follow up and follow-through are vital for this role.

ORGANIZATION: You will need to be efficient to handle multiple requests and prioritize your work.

COLLABORATOR AND SELF DIRECTED: Enjoy working independently and as part of teams on defined accounts with a proficiency to follow-up and follow-through.

INSURANCE ACUMEN: Knowledge in the area of Health and Welfare plans, compliance, competition, carrier appetite and product offerings, is a strong preference. Applicable state Life and Health License required or can be obtained within the first 90 days of starting.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree with 1 year experience; or 6 years equivalent work-related experience.
