Project Manager - Client Implementations at WellSky in Overland Park, Kansas

Job Description:

The Project Manager will oversee our client software implementation projects and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established goals/objectives, schedules and budget. As part of WellSky's corporate Professional Services organization, the Project Manager will coordinate with external and internal teams to ensure tasks are clearly identified and completed to support overall project success.

A day in the life!

Key Activities:

• Creates project schedules based on defined scope and assigned resources


• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and making revisions as needed to keep overall project on time and on budget


• Oversees the accurate preparation and completion of project financials and reporting


• Leverages existing methods & procedures to facilitate consistent & repeatable results across the project team


• Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations which may require working outside normal work hours to accommodate clients in other time zones

Baseline Competencies:

• Effectively facilitates team and client meetings


• Keeps the team informed of project status and changes within the organization


• Resolves and/or escalates issues and risks to the appropriate team members and executive owners in a timely fashion


• Regular written and oral communication with client project team

Job Competencies:

• Develops lasting relationships that foster overall client satisfaction and retention


• Manages to project scope and provides Sales Team leads that could result in additional signed Order Forms


• Identifies opportunities for improvement in WellSky's best practices

Do you have what it takes?

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software implementation project management


• Enterprise EMR/EHR implementation or equivalent experience preferred


• Ability to travel 20%


• Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of client team


• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with internal and external clients


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft Project


• Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills


• Process improvement experience that resulted in quantifiable results is desired
