Experience and Education

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field, and five (5) years experience in appropriate field. MBA preferred. PMI or PMP certification preferred.

Job Duties

---

1. Represents and leads projects within department and engages support of University areas such as Financial Planning, Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), Contracts and external vendors and consultants for various projects.
2. Oversees master schedule and project progress. Monitor and update project milestone schedule for all projects and provide progress reports to Department Sr. Leadership. Manage project development deliverables in accordance with the schedule in conjunction with internal resources such as Financial Planning and CIP. Monitor progress of external vendors and consultants. Monitor change orders and change estimates applicable to projects. Analyze cost and schedule issues and initiate alternatives which will cause a course correction. Develop add value innovation program and publicize to obtain ideas from all project. Assist and monitors Value Engineered (V.E.) activities and reports to Department Sr. Leadership. Lead and facilitate meetings such as kick off meeting, planning session, and other coordination meeting.
3. Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; provides supervision to program staff.
4. Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
5. Business Planning - Works with Director to develop business plan and operation plan outline. Review and comment on feasibility studies. Serves as guide to find and create viable business model based on market needs.
6. Innovative Approach - Apply and lead innovative project approach such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Lean process, and Modular system. Serves as guide to build PM platforms of innovative approach.
7. Organization and Personnel Management - Plan and manage manpower and resource with the assistance of the Department\'s Admin. Coordinator for Project and Program Development. Build suitable project management team for each phase. Assess team members abilities and assign them on appropriate responsibilities.
8. Network Management - Build and maintain relationship with clients. Expand networks and source new projects. Build relationship with global hospital operators and other healthcare organization.
9. Contract Management - Review and analyze proposals. Review and analyze MOU and other contract documents. Negotiate terms and conditions with external resources as directed by Department Sr. Leadership and University Contracts guidelines.
10. Internal Communication - Report project status to team leaders and executive members of the Department. Coordinate with other departments such as Financial Planning, CIP, and Contracts.
11. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
