Why This Role is Important to Us

The Clinical Education and Development Manager is responsible for leadership and coordination of clinical education and training for clinical staff, support of new employee orientation, development and coordination of competency assessment tools and evaluation, and involvement in research activities as required. The Clinical Education and Development Manager works closely with the group of clinical preceptors and other leaders and staff in clinical positions. The position reports to the Director of Clinical Education and Workforce Learning.



What We're Looking For

-Minimum Master's Degree or equivalent experience - Required NP/PA licensure

Preferred experience - Minimum five years experience in healthcare, may be direct service and/or educational setting.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and educationally diverse staff and patients.

- Creativity, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to take initiative.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and writing skills. - English, bilingual preferred

- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and leader in a complex and fast-paced environment.

- Position requires a valid driver's license and a reliable automobile to travel to and within service territory (all travel in Massachusetts - no overnights).

- Desk work, home visits and driving as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Develops and coordinates individual and group educational offerings and clinical training for staff, -including e-learning offerings

* Offers support to clinical staff as requested regarding clinical program development

* Collaborates on identification of clinical resources and dissemination of information and education related to these resources

* Teaches and reinforces appropriate clinical assessment and examination techniques

* Coordinates development and implementation of new employee orientation for clinical staff in coordination with preceptors and clinical managers

* Develops and implements competency assessment tools and program for clinical staff and assists with maintaining schedule of re-training and re-testing

* Participate in clinical skills training, including Basic Life Support, skilled nursing tasks, and other topics as needed

* Reports to department leadership on progress and effectiveness of education and training efforts

* Perform other related tasks as assigned
