JOB SUMMARY:

Observes, Reports, Maintain Visibility and Provides Service to all departments, employees, visitors, customers and contractors or vendors. Applicant will be required to have current and valid California Bureau of Security and Investigate Services license.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)


  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property on foot or in a vehicle, while deterring trespassing and observation of suspicious activities. Ability to multi-task and work alone.

  • Ability to use Bosch Operator Client DVR system, Windows computer program, Microsoft Office programs. The use of a two-way radio and smart cell phone to document patrol duties, tour scans and incident reports in a timely manner.

  • Ability to respond and identify alarms for fire, burglar, HVAC, generators alarms on designated panels or UPS back up system.

  • Ability to inspect and report manufacturing or HVAC equipment in alarm for correction or shut down.

  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities in building security measures and/or facility operations; informing violators of Company policy and procedures;

  • Enforces parking policies and assignments with employees, contractors and visitors on private property areas.

  • Follows post instructions and security policies and guidelines. Obtains signature, contractor's information and receipts for company business transactions.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned in collaboration with other team members.

  • Ensures secured areas are frequently by audit by conducting foot and vehicle patrols.

  • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements, company guidelines and proper uniform standards.

  • Monitor and control access at building entrances, common areas and vehicle gates

  • Perform first aid or CPR, transport an injured person to clinic or contact emergency services as required.

  • Ability to identify visitors, contractors and government service representatives and ask for appropriate documents and identification.

  • Ability to direct employees and visitors during an emergency. Ensures employee and visitor safety.

  • Ability to learn and work with multiple tools of the Security profession trade.

  • Ability to identify and report incidents of aggressive behavior.

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to make verbal and written notifications to Executive level management at all hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


































Education:

High School Diploma or general education degree

Experience:


Minimum of 2 years of documented Security experience required, preferably in a manufacturing industry. Military and Law Enforcement (including Explorer program) experience desired.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Have a current and valid guard card/license as per California Bureau of Security & Investigative Services. CPR and AED training is desired.

Computer Skills:

Bosch Operator Client DVR system, Windows computer programs, Microsoft Office programs. Knowledgeable use of a smart mobile device and mobile phone applications for data entry and processing is desired.

Mathematical Abilities:

High School Diploma abilities

Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:

Security and Safety knowledge

Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

Ability to write up reports, provide instructions to employees on security matters. Spanish speaking a plus.

Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)


Ability to communicate verbally and in writing concisely. Incident Report writing and Daily Activity Report skills experienced desired.



Fork lift driving experience a plus.

  • Regularly required to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Gross manual dexterity (operate a motor vehicle) is also required.

  • Ability to reach with arms and hands; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl as well as the ability to see and hear.

  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. or heavier if another team member is available.

  • Able to work night shifts and on weekends when required.

  • Able to work overtime as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Manufacturing Environment - safety gear such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, protective arm or sleeve guards and earplugs will be required and provided.
