Responsibilities
We are seeking a electrochemist with experience in chemical modification of surfaces and/or nanomaterials with small molecules, DNA, and/or biomolecules using primarily solution-phase methods. The position will involve design and execution of orthogonal surface chemistries to functionalize surfaces. The candidate should be well-versed in surface/nanomaterials characterization techniques, including UV-VIS spectroscopy and other surface analysis techniques, as well as energy storage, fluidic batteries, and/or solid state batteries.
The potential candidate must thrive amidst a multidisciplinary team comprising skills in microfluidics, microfabrication, instrumentation, biology, mechanical and electrical engineering, and more. Experience with electrochemistry involving biomolecules and modeling electrochemistry is desirable. Additionally, the candidate will be a self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
