In this role you'll be... part of a global, cross-disciplinary, agile team designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem-Imaje current and future printers.

You'll have an opportunity to... work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products, from proof of concept to production, across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers' needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.

You should possess... at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related with preferred 5 years' experience performing mechanical engineering and analysis on projects from concept through production launches.

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

*Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of high-quality design collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global capacity(NORTH AMERICA & EUROPE)*Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computers simulations, prototype builds and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of validation and reliability goals*Can work as a team member on a multi-discipline team, or independently as required*Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities*Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices (such as advanced fabrication methods, material selection, rapid prototyping, reliability studies, *FEA/CFD simulation, etc.)*Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality*Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers.

Education and/or Experience of Candidate:

*Bachelor with 5 years experience or Masters' degree in Mechanical Engineering*Knowledge of marking and coding equipment is a plus, but not required*Experience designing industrial products from concept through production is desired*Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred), FEA/CFD analysis, and thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing is desired*Experience with 3D manufacturing and precision part casting is a plus*Experience with Microsoft Office including, word, outlook, excel, powerpoint*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
