Job Description:

This position is located in Bedminster, Chicago, Dallas or Atlanta.  Relocation assistance is not available.

Overall Purpose: Responsible for selection, management, and negotiation with carriers for the lowest total cost of ownership to get the needed transport/access services at the best value. Manages activities to maintain working relationships with local and long- distance carriers. Manages interconnection agreement terms and conditions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Negotiates contract terms and pricing and assists with performance and delivery problem resolution with carriers. Drafts, reviews, and approves contractual documents. Lead cross-functional teams across various network and operations groups, finance and product to develop supplier/category specific strategies, manage cost and inventory, and assure timely and accurate vendor payments. Responsible for carrying out financial analysis of vendor proposals for PMO vs FMO view and total cost of ownership. May be responsible for defining requirements, evaluating and providing suggested improvements to supplier products. Manages cost optimization; may perform expense reducing and cost administration activities. May coordinate with sales to leverage buy/sell opportunities with interconnect carriers. Escalates legal and regulatory concerns to appropriate departments. Develops and implements timely carrier performance reviews. Responsible for the development and implementation of performance improvement plans and assures the resolution of issues that result from supplier performance deficiencies. May lead cross-functional teams to ensure performance standards and measurements meet criteria. May manage development of standard performance reports. Single point of contact for investigation and resolution of billing disputes with carriers. Good communication and MS office skills required. Knowledge and experience with various regulatory frameworks including state and federal tariff agreements and interconnection agreements preferred. Strong business acumen with a high-level understanding of transport/access solution in wireless and wireline preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree preferred

Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in area of professional responsibility
