As we grow, we are seeking an experienced Business Manager in our Dayton, OH office.


The Business Manager is a vital part of the office management and provides opportunity for growth and advancement within the firm. The position requires managerial experience of in-house and remote staff, a strong knowledge of general office duties, facilities management experience, strong organizational skills, and the willingness to take on a variety of office tasks. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize within set deadlines.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage, coach and mentor the Administrative and Support staff.

  • Provide administrative assistance in fleet management.

  • Provide general administrative and executive support (e.g., scheduling and coordinating travel, meetings and conferences).

  • Ensure that the office (e.g., meeting rooms, common space, equipment, etc.) is continually maintained and in top condition.

  • Implement and maintain administrative office systems, such as filing systems (paper and electronic), safety and security procedures, and branded document templates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to hire and screen administrative staff.

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.

  • Coordinate, organize, and oversee internal and external office events and meetings.

  • Ensure operation of general office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Assist in organizing and planning events with charitable organization partners

  • Assist with planning fun and original office-wide events

  • Work with employees to resolve office management issues



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years related experience OR Master's degree and four (4) years related experience or eight (8) years related experience preferably in a business-related field.

  • Strong people management skills and communication skills

  • Strong organizational time management, and planning skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills; Crisp and professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Collaborative, positive, "can do" attitude

  • Laser-sharp attention to detail

  • Strong people management skills.

  • Ability to provide leadership and training to direct reports.

  • Enthusiasm to proactively identify problems and find solutions

  • Must be able to interact with all levels of employees and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Some overtime and minimal travel required.
