The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Marketing Communications Specialist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Leading, developing, supporting and monitoring marketing campaigns aligned to defined spend targets to drive demand and qualified leads for 3M Medical Solutions products and technologies for the intensive care setting

  • Defining, creating, executing and optimizing external United States and Canada (USAC) strategic marketing and channel communications, media and PR plans that align to marketing objectives for assigned segments in alignment with defined spend

  • Understanding competitor communication strategies, tactics and messaging and applying findings to communications plan/marketing mix as appropriate

  • Developing tradeshow demand generation strategy, messaging and content execution

  • Coaching content creation that aligns to the 3M brand, tone and identity strategy for customer journey and persona-based communication

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Corporate Communications, Branding and/or Advertising in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or Mass Communication from an accredited institution

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with demand generation, social media campaign management, marketing automation and/or segment marketing

  • Minimum seven (7) years of Marketing Communications, Corporate or Business Communications experience is preferred with ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Strong writing, project management, collaboration, interpersonal and communications skills

  • Ability to translate technical language and strategic marketing plans into storytelling communication in addition to executing a detailed Marketing Communication Plan

  • Health care industry experience or experience in a regulated industry environment

  • Customer/client-centric mindset combined with contagious enthusiasm and passion
