About The Position
The Quality Assurance Auditor ensures Ameren Missouri Energy Delivery electric operations meet or exceed the requirements of the operating policies, procedures, standards, and processes. This position is responsible for understanding how a distribution asset / project should be built, auditing installed assets / projects, identifying discrepancies to standard, communicating to correct parties, and assisting with corrective actions.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Lead and support development of QA process for Ameren Missouri o Conduct field inspections and record audits to ensure compliance and issue non-conformance reports to division management or resource management. o Review work packets (both manually prepared and electronic) for compliance with all requirements. o Document findings and provide summary for review by division, resource and executive management. o Make recommendations for division corrective actions and assist with plan implementation. o Perform follow-up to ensure actions are completed as planned.


  • Facilitate effective and efficient business decisions. Promote safe, compliance, and cost-effective operations.


  • Stimulate communications between locations to share best practices and common solutions.


  • Assist in the development of process improvements or practices as identified.



Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline required. A minimum of five years' relevant experience required (e.g., electric substation, relay, engineering, quality assurance). In lieu of bachelor's degree, eight year's relevant experience required (e.g., electric substation, relay, engineering, quality assurance) or a minimum of five years relevant journeyman experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Must be able to read construction drawings. Must be familiar with related technology (i.e. EMPROV, Microsoft Office). Significant travel required throughout Ameren Missouri service territory as majority of time will be spent conducting field inspections. Assist with storm restoration and/or supervise Ameren or contractor employees during emergency situations.
