Description

The Assistant Director, Financial Systems, at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, is responsible for providing technical direction and support for applications, including Oracle Hyperion, Access, SQL, and Excel, used within the Finance division.The work of the incumbent will improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility within the department.

The Assistant Director will master the use of the Oracle Hyperion application in order to be the technical back-up for the application and will assist in the development of additional reporting mechanisms, including those in Access, Essbase, and web-based systems. Responsibilities include: performing and reconciling monthly data uploads from the University's Banner system to Oracle Hyperion; preparing manual and system-to-system data loads for the Oracle Hyperion application, including physician billing and provider data from the GE Centricity Flowcast system; designing Oracle Hyperion reports for Finance and department end-users; developing and integrating analytical tools and reports into Oracle Hyperion; managing large datasets, including querying and reporting of data. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, health care, or related field, and at least five years related financial analysis or financial systems experience.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with spreadsheet and database software programs.

*Demonstrated ability to design systems for analysis or operational processes, and reporting.

*Demonstrated ability to seek and analyze information and processes.

*Developed critical thinking skills necessary for efficient problem solving.

*Strong verbal and written communication skills.

*Demonstrated attention to detail.

Preferred:

*MBA or related advanced degree
