Job Description:

The Department of Biomedical Research at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work in the Motor Neuron Diseases Research Laboratory on both internally and externally funded projects that are specifically aimed at understanding motor neuron diseases and developing new therapeutic strategies. Responsibilities include performing experiments using a range of molecular biological, biochemical and cell biological techniques using cell lines and primary neuronal cultures as well as rodent models.

The position requires a Bachelors degree in biology, biochemistry or neuroscience-related field and at least one year of experience in a research laboratory. Computer literacy required. Knowledge of research methodology as well as experience with molecular/biochemical techniques and research rodents are required.
