Senior Finance Manager, Technology, Operations and Consolidated Financial Reporting at Equifax Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description:

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be leading a team of managers and financial analysts to provide proactive and insightful financial analysis, supporting the rapidly-growing Workforce Solutions division within Equifax, focused on Technology, Operations and Consolidated Financial Reporting. The Senior Finance Manager will interface frequently with the Senior Management team to deliver financial information in a concise and meaningful manner to foster effective decision making.

The Senior Finance Manager position is responsible for analyzing technology spending (operating and capital) and trends, and preparing a myriad of reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management.

Additional responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager include:


  • Drive value-added planning, budgeting and forecasting activities


  • Work with various areas of the business and business unit management to prepare annual budgets, including summarizing the budget and preparing presentations supporting critical initiatives


  • Analyze technology spending (operating and capital) and trends, and preparing a myriad of reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management


  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking


  • Work with the various areas of the business, managers and business unit management on monthly financial forecasts reflecting expenses, headcount, capital and other metrics


  • Manage business case compilation along with the business case sponsor and various business areas


  • Assist in preparation and implementation of  standardized reporting model (COGS, COS, Development, G&A, etc.)



  • Lead team of financial analysts to accomplish objectives


  • Work collaboratively with Technology team members in a matrix environment to evaluate strategic alternatives in support of long term planning objectives


  • Lead the monthly forecast cycles, rolling forecast, annual budget process for the Revenue and Expense FP&A Teams. 


  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial presentations, and other financial analysis tasks and projects


  • Forecasts and resource planning for complex projects or initiatives


  • Ensure Sales Incentives are appropriately accrued and monitored throughout the year


  • Lead the Finance Agile team, applying Agile concepts in quarterly planning sessions and monthly sprints/reflections. 


  • Develop driver based models for complex expense items, specifically cloud costs and develop a methodology to drive transparency in unit cost per transaction.


  • Provide ongoing support to the business by balancing the strategic initiatives of the business with the financial metrics and targets.


Required Skills of the Senior Finance Manager:


  • 10 – 15 years of experience in a finance related capacity, with at least some prior experience supporting technology teams


  • Previous finance experience to include creation and presentation of complex business cases


  • Prior experience in presenting to C-Suite leaders regularly on results and building presentations for Leadership


  • Experience with Capitalized Development spending


  • Must have strong PC skills, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Google Slides


  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing team of managers and financial analysts


  • Prior experience with managing cloud costs and economics.


Preferred Skills of the Senior Finance Manager:


  • Possess a financial designation (e.g. CFA or CPA)


  • Experience using Hyperion/Essbase, Oracle Projects, Google Slides and Sheet

Education:


  • University Bachelor degree in Finance or a related discipline


  • MBA or Master’s level degree preferred
