Job Description:
Based on the current need of the plug plant we are posting an Operator position. The major responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to only these duties. The base rate for this position is $19.02. Depending on the shift there may be an additional shift differential for night shift. This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties.
Job Duties
- Operators are expected to operate and maintain a minimum of 4 machines and maximum of 6 machines.
- Adhere to Safety Rules and regulations.
- Maintain quality standards set forth by product specifications.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make proper machine adjustments on all machinery in the department to meet safety and quality requirements.
- Must monitor raw materials for moisture and resin content and proper distribution of materials in machinery.
- Must maintain and monitor the condition of molds in machinery and storage areas for adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
- Clean machines several times throughout the shift to maintain performance standards.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required to include cleaning of processing equipment, mixing equipment and material transport equipment.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and team maintenance actions.
Previous Experience Preferred
- Prior experience operating industrial machinery.
- Examples of identifying and making improvements in the plant.
- Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
- Knowledge of Computer based programs
- Has demonstrated good attendance.
- Has demonstrated collaboration, communication and teamwork.
- Not on Final for attendance performance.
Performance
- Performance is measured based on safety, machine scrap rate and uptime performance.
