Nice-Pak Products, Inc. (NP) is the global developer, manufacturer and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning and disinfection products. We have several locations across the US and are looking for new Associates to join our team!


POSITION PURPOSE This is for a night shift, 5:45 pm - 6:00 pm. This is a safety sensitive position. This position has the primary responsibility for supporting the daily production results for their assigned Value Stream. This includes meeting targeted objectives in the areas of safety, quality, service, OEE, waste, and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for assisting with line troubleshooting, center lining, coordinating with training on the creation of work standards and the execution of On the Job Training (OJT).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Assist with real time troubleshooting during mechanical outages to minimize line downtime 2. Coordinate with Process Engineers on collecting and documenting machine centerlines and conduct routine audits 3. Act as a line ambassador to help train and coach toward Autonomous Maintenance 4. Work with maintenance on mid-level PM requirements 5. Work with training on documenting standard work, to include JSA's and quality permissive 6. Facilitate hands-on learning OJT for machine operators to support the Nice Pak Career Path process. 7. Leverage SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) to dramatically reduce the time it takes to complete equipment changeovers 8. Participate in LEAN processes to include 6S, Kaizen, and KATA 9. Assist with production reporting and visual management tools 10. Provide support in the absence of the Line Coordinator and fill in for machine operators as needed 11. Other duties as assigned PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1. Line KPI's to include safety (TRIR), quality (FPY), service, efficiency, OEE, and waste 2. Operator Training Competence, Awareness, and Training 3. Value Stream Certification Goals (percent of VSOP1 vs. VSOP2) 4. LEAN 6S 5. Changeover Time/Performance


Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: * High School Diploma GED REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: * Basic reading, writing and math * General understanding of manufacturing principles * Basic computer knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years machine operator experience * Certified on all Value Stream Converting Equipment


SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Handles conflicts in professional manner * Willing to work overtime and weekends as required * Demonstrated technical aptitude, to include mechanical and HMI logic * Ability to teach and to develop oneself and others, skills necessary to convert wet wipes
