We have an opportunity for a Manager, Employee Benefits in our Global Corporate Headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.

We are looking for a benefits expert who will lead the efforts to ensure our benefits remain competitive, help us attract top talent, reduce turnover, and enhance the employee experience.

This individual is responsible for establishing operational processes and guidelines, and execute the day to day administration of various employee benefit programs such as short- and long-term disability, leave management, defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, EAP, and life, medical, dental and other voluntary insurance programs, under the direction of the Sr. Director, Compensation & Benefits.

Core responsibilities include:



  • Provide daily benefits administration oversight and ensure insurance, ASO and TPA contract guidelines are adhered to by third parties and internal resources

  • Leave administration guidance and benefits continuance Company policy adherence

  • Annual Open Enrollment process and employee communications, plus New Hire orientation

  • Employee Benefits and Retirement Plans - Hire to Retire process improvements

  • Act as HRIS, payroll, and third-party system coordinator for employee records, includes assisting with file feed updates and clean-up when necessary

  • 401k administrative oversight/ 401k interface management & reconciliation

  • Manage annual 401k audit process with independent auditor

  • Manage daily pension process & monitor third party administrator

  • Trains field HR staff on Employee benefit programs, annual updates, and trouble-shoots individual employee issues with various benefit service providers (Employee & Management Customer Service)

  • Invoice/Billing Management - Benefits; including assisting in the monthly reconciliation of benefit program expenses with Accounting Dept.

  • Well-Being program management and site-specific health events

  • Manage the annual benefits calendar and employee communications process (internal and external sources)

  • Perform financial benefit/cost analysis as needed / Analyze offerings for market competitiveness

  • Other duties as assigned

Here's what's required for the role.



  • 5-10 years of progressive employee benefits design and administrative experience in health & welfare benefit plan(s) administration and defined contribution (401k) / defined benefit (pension) record-keeping. A Bachelors' degree from a 4-year university in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is required.

  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation or recent completion of coursework toward the designation, a plus.

  • Experience with ADP, Oracle, Workday or other advanced Human Capital Management databases

  • Some Union Welfare Benefit Plan experience a plus, but not required

Required Skills:


  • Strong Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Office skills required

  • Ability to clearly communicate to all levels of employees in a professional manner

  • Fundamental understanding of US government regulatory environment (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Ability to execute multiple process flows and troubleshoot issues through to resolution

  • Ability to coordinate multiple third parties to ensure the seamless delivery of employee benefit options

  • Understanding of third-party interfaces/enrollment programs and ability to develop and monitor related internal and external systems requirements (update systems interfaces as needed and at least annually)

  • Ability to conduct financial analytics, model and forecast employee benefit cost and savings trends

  • Efficient time management skills to work independently on assigned projects

  • Hands-on project management
