Position Description:
As a company with SAFETY as their #1 priority, the AMETEK Hamilton Precision Metals plant custom re-roll precision metal strip and foil in their climate controlled, clean work environment.

Employees use their mechanical knowledge to rework the metal strip and foil for critical applications in the medical, aerospace, electronics, process control among others.

AMETEK, Inc. has an opening for a 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) Metals Cleaner at their Lancaster, PA plant.

We offer an exceptional benefit package and you can earn up to $27.03/hour, plus an additional $1/hour shift differential.

Job Duties:

1. Clean strip in a satisfactory manner, observing material closely in order to identify and prevent (if possible) creases, buckles, coil set, damaged edges, scratches and various flaws or edge cracks.
2. Respooling of metals, especially for visual inspection of entire lengths of coils.
3. Blocking of metals, which is tight and uniform spooling of various metals onto mill blocks for rolling operations.

Position Requirements:
• Safety conscious and able to assess risks
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Solid mathematical skills
• Desire to use hands and learn new machinery and tooling
• Comfort working in a unionized, multi-machine job shop environment
• Willingness to work on weekends if needed
• A high school diploma or GED certification
• Able to pass a hair drug test
