If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will ensure effective implementation of Supplier Performance Engineering processes and measures, including organization, procedures, and systems required to ensure products from external suppliers meet Emerson requirement for Quality, Speed, and Costs; manage local engineering team; and work across highly-matrixed organization to influence global sites and suppliers. 
 

AS A SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING MANAGER, YOU WILL: 

Manage Supplier Performance Engineering (SPE) team to ensure a safe work environment, establish expectations and communicate performance standards through ongoing coaching and performance feedback.  You will also manage the SPE Processes in support of Global Supply Chain and Operations by establishing, monitoring, and taking appropriate action in response to key performance measures.  Maintain quality management system documentation associated with SPE processes by ensuring procedures, forms, work aids, and training plans are current and accessible worldwide.  Establish and maintain information systems to support SPE Strategy and core processes by defining the requirements for and the implementation of new applications and system enhancements, in coordination with the IT function.  In addition, you will serve as an expert resource on SPE concepts and tools.  You will represent Global Supply Chain on cross-functional, global leadership teams and ensure alignment of global supply chain processes and objectives. In addition, you will lead and/or sponsor SPE strategic plan initiatives to ensure timely and effective execution of SPE strategic plan.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • BS in Engineering is required

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Available for domestic/international travel as required (0-10%)

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • A BS in Mechanical Engineering in preferred

  • Prefer relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Design, Supervision. 

  • A strong customer focus that allows you to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect. 

  • Drives for results by identifying improvement opportunities, organize resources, and manage cross-functional teams to solve problems.

  • Demonstrated focus on developing direct reports and others

  • Organizational agility through strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization structure.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, Quality certifications or MBA a plus.
