If you are a Quality Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will provide ownership for Product Quality, working in close engagements with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive systematic quality programs to address customer feedback, resolve manufacturing issues, and launch new products.
 

AS LEAD SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 



  • Customer Quality Issues – Drive timely resolution of customer quality issues related to Rosemount products to improve customer satisfaction and drive a quality first culture throughout the organization.


  • Customer Feedback – Ensure effective monitoring and timely response to customer feedback to address systemic product-related issues and drive year over year improvement of our products and services.


  • Corrective & Preventive Action – Provide leadership to ensure product group focus on timely and effective Corrective/Preventive actions for improved quality and operational excellence.


  • Quality Objectives – Develop relationships to collaborate with global cross functional teams to drive quality objectives and KPI improvements into product group processes.


  • New Product Quality – Participate with new product introduction teams to deliver on quality requirements at phase/gates. Provide data analytics on legacy product failure history, establish new product reliability programs. Help ensure better quality than legacy products at launch.


  • Global Consistency - Champion global consistency for design, operations and related processes. Ensure quality centric best practices are harmonized globally that effectively and efficiently result in reduced variation in our products and processes.


  • Customer Communications – Author and help deploy effective communications with regard customer notifications and other product quality related announcements.


  • Product Quality Reviews – Provide effective product hold team management to ensure continued quality on product portfolio. Lead quality initiatives that deliver improved product, process, operational and business performance.


  • Lead Product Quality Steering Team – Develop agenda and lead recurring globally attended steering team meetings. Communicate customer response activity and KPI performance, facilitate corrective/preventative action and hold management, drive action and escalate items to effectively and efficiently resolve product quality issues. You encourage the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School 


  • 6 years of related experience


  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 


 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • ABET-accredited Engineer Degree


  • Manufacturing and Quality Experience

  • Lean Six Sigma Certifications a plus
