Job Description:

Overall Purpose:

Responsible for reporting on and analyzing results of credit decisions for Large Business Credit operations and recommending changes to credit policy and procedures to mitigate bad debt.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

REPORTING - Operational and ad hoc reporting for Large Business Credit operations (both validation and analysis) using Power BI and Excel.  Analyze data to identify trends and related drivers of fluctuations in trends, new opportunities for process improvement or credit policy changes, impact of system issues and changes, and personnel productivity issues.   Track actual performance to target.  Proactively propose new reporting development to help leadership better manage Large Business Credit operations. 

NEW CREDIT PLATFORM - Assist in requirements and testing for new reporting related to upcoming credit platform change.  Ultimately become SME on how the new credit platform processes and reports on credit-related transactions.

VENDOR MANAGEMENT – Work closely with Equifax team to manage issue tickets for Large Business Credit systems (BCES and UBCT) credit engine issues which involves ticket prioritization, coordination with credit analysts to ensure issue fixes are fully correcting the issue and not creating new issues, and coordination of testing of code changes to fix widely impacting issues.  Determine full impact of a code changes on impacted systems (including BOT automation), manual processes, workload, etc. and risk associated with such changes in order for leadership to be able to make an informed decision about approval.  Once new credit platform is launched, implement new process with new vendor for managing credit platform issues in a timely manner.

SPECIAL PROJECTS – Complete special projects as directed by Associate Director and Director. 

Job Contribution - Uses business and process knowledge, financial and analytic skills and communication and presentation skills to effectively recommend resolutions to complex business issues. Supports attainment of key organizational objectives such as Net Bad Debt, AR & DSO and operational expense targets as well as Credit operational productivity targets.

Skills and Experience:

  • Operational analysis experience and in-depth understanding of credit, collections, accounts receivable, bad debt, monthly results, and business drivers.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret operational trends and communicate logical conclusions in a professional manner to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to draw linkages between operational results and the impacts on financial results.

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Excel and/or Access. 
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Power BI.

Managerial Skills:

  • Experience working on cross organizational teams and projects as well as with 3rd parties.
  • Ability to multi-task in an environment with changing priorities with minimal direction.

Education:

  • Required: BS Business, Finance or Economics
  • Desired: Credit specific experience:

Typically requires 2-7 years of experience.
