Cognizant is seeking  Project Manager for the Healthcare Industry.

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university/college desired. 
  
  
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
  
  
  • 3-5+ years of project and/or program management experience required

  • Experience with product management or software projects/services desired. 
  
  
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  
  
  
  


• Responsibilities

1. Setup and manage processes, systems, tools, and organizational resources to initiate, plan, control, execute and close projects and programs associated with the assigned commercialization area


2. Ensure that all projects are traceable to objectives and are within the capacity of the organization


3. Utilize all program, and project related processes, tools, templates, and methodologies


4. Establish and adhere to established project governance & communication plan


5. Identify project team, key stakeholders, roles, and responsibilities


6. Achieve project objectives, maintain adequate project staffing


7. Re-plan project activities when necessary


8. Primary point of contact for assigned projects


9. Effectively communicate and manage project expectations proactively to all stakeholders


10. Create and maintain agreed upon reporting mechanisms that show the overall health of the project(s) and or program(s) and clearly show critical risks, issues, action items, and decisions


11. Drive proactive risk and issue identification, mitigation, and resolution


12. Adhere to escalation and change management processes


13. Establish backup plan for critical project roles to establish business continuity


14. Develop and maintain relationships with all project team members and key stakeholders


15. Allocate work effectively and timely among team members


16. Resolve team conflict & support team building activities


17. Work with project team and key stakeholders to track lessons learned and implement process improvements


18. Mentor project coordinators to ensure accurate setup and maintenance of detailed project artifacts and deliverables


19. Provide administrative support when required


20. Coach, mentor, and motivate project teams to ensure successful project completion


21. Provide inputs on goal setting and performance appraisals of team


22. Identify skill gaps and training needs of team members and provide necessary support to address the same


23. Nominate team for awards


24. Conduct training when necessary and induction of new team members

• Skillset


• PMP certification, desired but not required.


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


• Good to excellent people management skills
