Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineer- Paint for Dubuque Workslocated in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:


  • Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans; assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.
  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans, capital and expense plans, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations. Investigate, gather and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Design operations layouts; improvematerial flow and material presentation.
  • Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations. Develop automated reports and system connectivity to improve operating efficiency.

What Skills You Need


  • 3 or more years of experience inEngineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc.)
  • 3 or more years of experience with robot programming and PLC programming, paint process knowledge
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Experience with Computer- Aided Design (CAD) and/or engineering tools
  • Knowledge of capital budgeting and the capital equipment justification process, project management

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 1 or more years of experience in Factory Automation
  • 1 or more years of experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
  • 1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturingincentive pay systems, such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
  • 1 or more years of work experience in a team environment
  • 1 or more years of experiencewith engineering tools, systems and databases

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
