Spectrum Paint, the largest independent paint company in the US, is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a Management Trainee position. Management Trainees will become proficient in all aspects of the paint business: operation, management, purchasing, customer service, as well as receive specialized paint product and protective coating training.  Our store hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.  Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Closed Sundays. Flexible scheduling available.

Looking for candidates in the Overland Park, KS area

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• opening and closing store duties,


• assisting the store manager with achieving sales and profit plan by controlling expenses, inventory, and growing net contribution


• assisting customers in person and over the phone with questions/orders regarding architectural, commercial, and industrial paint products and coating materials,


• assist the store manager with customer development,


• assist the store manager with recruiting, training, and developing staff,


• mixing/tinting products to customer specifications,


• processing orders by pulling material from the warehouse,


• loading and unloading delivery truck and occasionally making deliveries to customers, using the company vehicle,


• miscellaneous tasks around the paint store such as stocking, cleaning, etc.,


• and other duties as assigned by Regional Store Management.

• Capable of passing a detailed background screening


• Able to and willing to relocate, if necessary


• Degree preferred (in progress is okay) or previous management experience preferred


• Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check to drive company vehicle on occasion

The base location of the position is negotiable and will be decided at the time of hire.  Experience in any of the following fields is ideal, however, we are willing to train: paint industry, construction, or experience with architectural, commercial, or industrial coatings.
