SUMMARY:
Working closely with the Campus Director of Admissions, the Director of Business Development, and the Vice President of Admissions the Community Outreach Liaison generates and attends events with high schools, community colleges, universities, hospitals, healthcare organizations, and the regional community at large. This position is responsible for student enrollment growth in these channels, developing/maintaining relationships with these community partners to ascertain their education needs, following up on prospective students for campus and program development, and playing an active role in supporting their students through the admissions process and nurturing them through their start date.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or business administration or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years previous experience in admissions, student counseling, recruiting in an academic/education environment or related field.
Experience with MS Office required.
Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to travel/drive locally at least 90% of time on a weekly and daily basis.
Ability to manage and work effectively in a highly ethnic and culturally diverse student and associate community.
Required to be Bi-Lingual and Fluent in Spanish
Ability to do research and identify potential recruiting events
Ability to demonstrate organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to use effective and professional communication skills, both oral and written, including complex proposals and presentations, and effective listening skills.
Ability to speak before public groups, committees and meetings.
Ability to manage projects and people, and participate in group meetings
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to self-direct, self-pace, multi-task and function well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to exercise good judgment.
