Schneider Electric is hiring for full-time production team members in it's Cedar Rapids, Iowa plant. We're currently hiring for 3rd shift production; Processor positions.

• Purpose / Summary

  Sets up, operates, and monitors production equipment used in the manufacturing of powdered metal contacts.

  
  
  
  


• Major Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  
  


• Must be able to read powder mixing procedure and use mixing equipment to create a batch of finished powder.
  
  


• Must be able to read and follow production schedule
  
  


• Perform press changeovers on all presses and press types
  
  


• Setup production furnaces to run at specific settings
  
  


• Monitor press equipment and perform adjustments as needed to maintain quality
  
  


• Perform first piece inspection using gauges and operate SPC software
  
  


• Must be able to perform changeover on manual and automatic contact loading equipment
  
  


• Monitor contact loading equipment and perform adjustments as needed to keep equipment running and producing good parts
  
  


• Perform changeovers on all roller-micrometers in the contact department
  
  


• Properly setup roller-micrometers to the correct specifications for each part number
  
  


• Use SAP software to complete order transactions
  
  
• Other Functions
  
  


• Counts, records, and reports production
  
  


• Maintain good housekeeping the production area
  
  


• Perform autonomous maintenance on equipment in the production area
