If you are an IT Server Operations professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you will be a regional Team Leader position within the Emerson Service Delivery & Operations Organization. The incumbent will have regional ownership of the operational capability of Server & Storage Services as defined by Enterprise IT. They will be responsible to deliver agreed level of services to internal customers, users, and manage associated applications, technology and infrastructure supporting delivery of these services in an ITIL inspired environment. Enterprise IT services span a variety of businesses, sites and user base count, going from SOHO sales offices to Business Unit headquarters, globally serving 62,000+ users on a 24/7 basis.
AS AN IT SERVER OPERATIONS TEAM LEAD, YOU WILL:
General
The Regional Server Operations Team Leader will take in hours responsibility for the operational support of all On-Premise Server and Storage services within the region and provide out of hours support for the other Emerson locations.
Supervise and coordinate direct reports related to the support of servers and storage in region
Promote efficiency in all working practices
Help optimize and standardize the infrastructure, by leveraging standards, agreements, technologies procedures and documentation
Strive for customer satisfaction
Lead, motivate and coach the regional support team along with the Performance Evaluation Process
Ensure proper escalation of Server Services related IT Service Desk tickets
Participate in formal Service Review initiatives in cooperation with all the applicable teams, follow up on resulting Action Plans.
Follow and enforce Emerson policies and rules regarding relevant IT management, Asset Management, security, standards and procedures, liaise with other teams when required.
Coach Local IT on Storage & Server Infrastructure Services when needed
Handles administrative tasks for the team
Participates in the recruitment process of new team members
Participates in the salary review process for the tea
Operations
Manage Storage & Server Related Events, Incidents, Requests, Access and Problems in an appropriate and effective manner
Follow Major Incidents / Disaster Recovery procedure when required, including handling of communication on all levels
Engage proactively with counterparts in Europe and Asia Pacific to ensure 24/5 active support and SLA’s application at all time
Ensure systems are appropriately monitored and that support staff re-act quickly and efficiently to alerts and/or raised issues
Operate secure and dependable Server Services (including but not limited to server backup, antivirus protection and patching)
Test, Maintain, Update and Deploy Gold Server Images (templates) for physical & virtual environments, assist Local IT Teams during storage & server deployment phases
Maintain a steady and secure Emerson Active Directory by cleaning idle objects, synchronizing with other Asset Management tools (LANDesk, Spider, Symantec Endpoint…)
Using set of existing or future tools, provide required reports related to Server Services, Servers, Software, Security and others
Planning & Administration
Contribute to the Annual IT Budget preparation by identifying and proposing training, travel and other budget-impacting needs for the in-region Server Operations team
Participate to costing model definition, manage related Hardware & Software lifecycle and contracts in liaison with IT Asset Management Team

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing operational teams, preferably in a large enterprise environment
ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification is an advantage
Language knowledge: fluent in business English (speaking / writing); any other languages are considered an advantage
Legal authorization to work in the United States
