The Vice President of Medicare Sales, SWHR will lead revenue generation and business development efforts for a growing Medicare health plan driving all sales and marketing strategy. This position will lead team of business development professionals and serve as a key thought partner to the CEO and executive team.

The VP Medicare Sales has the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Drives revenue generation and business development strategy • Develops and maintains distribution channels including sales from brokers, inside sales staff, and internet leads. • Ensures all Sales/Marketing initiatives meet compliance and quality standards. • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to remain current in the changing healthcare trends. • Creates and implements strategies to integrate change management processes and practices into the management culture. • Creates comprehensive sales plans designed to exceed goals and objectives for growth in membership. • Develops and drive departmental and individual sales goals and objectives. • Develops innovative strategies that are aligned with the focus of building a strong sales and learning culture. • Formulates and administers policies and procedures, participates in strategic planning and business development activities and assists in the professional development of the sales, marketing, branding and communications team. • Directs long-term planning priorities and assures team is appropriately integrated into the overall direction, mission and values of the company. • Recommends, develops and provides direction in the strategic long-range planning process as it relates to all sales, marketing, branding and communications function aligning with growth goals. • Participates, evaluates, supports, and makes recommendations for business development and expansion opportunities. • Oversees the budgets of all sales, marketing, branding and communications projects for the enterprise and ensures successful deployment of resources to achieve financial targets. • Provides leadership and mentoring to management staff in establishing department objectives related to staffing, policies and procedures, and outcome measurement. • Develops the annual budget for the sales and marketing area and implements plans to achieve budgetary goals. • Monitors customer satisfaction and implements plans and programs to continually enhance services provided. • Recruits, hires, trains, leads, and motivates a sales organization (both sales agents and supervisors) to exceed both sales objectives and customer expectations for individual sales. • Acts as lead with key related agencies in the community. • Provides day-to-day supervision and support to sales staff in the performance of their job duties and responsibilities. • Ensures the capture and appropriate storage of complete and accurate prospective member records. • Analyzes, executes, and reports on sales plan and sales/account service process activity and results as scheduled and required. • This position will manage 5-9 direct employees.

Experience/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field required. • Master's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field preferred. • 8 years proven experience in growing Medicare Advantage membership through multiple channels required. • 8 years of a solid understanding of financials and healthcare economics, ability to analyze operations, impact revenue and healthcare costs, and continually implement efficient operational processes required. • Proven leadership, partnership, and facilitation skills with employees at all levels of an organization, exhibiting influence even in the absence of formal reporting relationships • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
