Job Description

Job Summary

Provides Nationwide title services. Responsible for supporting real estate transactions by searching public records and examining titles for properties to determine legal condition of property title as part of production center, branch office, or member of a title team.


Job Responsibilities

  • Compiles, investigates and examines public and tax records to determine liabilities and legal condition of the title and insurability of the property

  • Prepares accurate and comprehensive title commitments in accordance with company examining and policy procedures

  • Performs a wide range of support functions to assist in departmental processes

  • Follows clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities

  • Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion

  • Uses basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members

  • Individual contributor working under direct supervision with little autonomy

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management


Education
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred

Experience
  • Typically requires 0-2 years of related work experience

Role Specific Knowledge: 
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Access, SureClose, Title Workplace, Internet software, and Contact Management systems
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Basic understanding of risks and liabilities of titles
• Good written communication and presentation skills
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• HS diploma
• Possession of a Valid State Producer's License
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the title industry which includes experience in understanding title orders.
