Our Role:

Our Marketing Strategy and Operations Team is looking for an experienced Marketing Technologist with expertise prioritizing and coordinating MarTech integrations across business and consumer products. Reporting to the Vice President of MarTech, the Director of Marketing Technology should have a strategic mindset to continue to push the limits of what can be done with the integration, automation, and administration efforts of our Marketing Technology stack. The person filling this role will be focused on transforming the MarTech stack from a disparate set of tools to a modern digital platform.  Additionally, this individual will be instrumental in guiding the requirements of Prudential’s Marketing capabilities and ensuring successful adoption of new features and functionality. They will support the varying needs of business marketing stakeholders, while ensuring cohesion with technology and other key partners. 

This role is expected to have a strong understanding of email marketing, virtual sales, digital marketing and marketing automation best practices, techniques, and tools.  The successful candidate will have a blended background including experience with both the technical integration and strategic application of MarTech. They will be a polished leader, capable of managing a team to maximize the performance and individual growth of each direct report. They will be passionate about defining a culture which balances a process-driven approach with efficiency and accountability.

Your Impact:


  • Work with VP MarTech to craft MarTech roadmap and strategy focused on driving utilization of our existing technology stack. 


  • Maintain an understanding of marketing goals, including KPIs, tactics and platforms associated with each function. 


  • Organize a team of Marketing Technologists to facilitate the requirements of marketing functions against their respective business outcomes and KPIs. 


  • Own and manage MarTech stack integrations and enhancements and track point of differentiation between stacks


  • Solidify and evangelize requirements intake process for both large scale, and agile development efforts


  • Own the MarTech request queue; what is in motion, planned for development, and backlogged; delegate ownership of specific queue requests across MarTech team.


  • Oversee monthly backlog review and prioritization with cross-functional stakeholders.


  • Establish workstreams across business marketing and technology organizations; share best practices, create transparency, and collaborate on development across the various stacks. 


  • Serve as resident MarTech capability expert for Prudential; summarize integrations and capabilities for executive leadership, cross-functional colleagues and third parties.


Your key responsibilities:

Technology:


  • Support and drive the standardization and rationalization of the Marketing Technology tools across multiple business groups


  • Manage the digital/virtual MarTech stack ensuring optimal performance and strategic integrations


  • Manage technology integrations in and out of digital tech stack, including applications such as Eloqua, On24, Ceros, Seismic, Salesforce, AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), AEP (Adobe Experience Platform), social media among others


  • Work with external vendors to maintain and develop our technology integrations, facilitate testing of new products and features


  • Partner with the Data Enablement team with Marketing data requests and ensuring data flows seamlessly within the Marketing ecosystem for actionability and reporting


Process:


  • Develop and monitor improvement strategies for operational processes


  • Provide support to overall road-mapping of future technical process improvement and/or testing tools


  • Translate business needs to functional requirements & process design, and work with business leads to prioritize/plan enhancement requests


  • Work closely with many different groups to manage requirements within WorkFront including technology, architecture, operations, business marketing, and customer experience. 


MarTech Administration


  • Manage orchestration tools supporting email, mobile, SMS and Virtual Sales and Print


  • Vendor administration and primary point of contact for all MarTech platforms.  Liaison with vendor management on contracting, licensing, and ongoing vendor oversight


  • Ensure all capabilities are operationalized and compliance protocols are met.  Drive adoption and ensure SOPs are met.


  • Help troubleshoot issues as they arise within the various platforms


  • Maintain outstanding technical support in a high-performance company culture that emphasizes superior quality, continuous improvement, and productivity standards


  • Partner with business and product teams to develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs); build complete story for a given ask, what the goal is; why it is needed; what are the success requirements and what is the business impact.  Formalize user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features or platforms, working with development teams to align UAT & QA efforts


  • Partner with procurement and global technology to onboard capabilities.  Lead implementation and rollout across marketing and business teams

Your Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years) in digitally enabled businesses. MBA or graduate degree a plus.  Experience in financial services preferred


  • Deep understanding of Marketing Technology stack architecture, including interplay between engagement tools, ad serving platforms, and data warehouses


  • Direct-to-consumer and Business marketing experience (B2B, DTC, B2C).  Familiar with Account Based Marketing (ABM) techniques


  • 8 years of professional experience with, or direct knowledge of core marketing platforms including CMS (Adobe Experience Manager), Customer Engagement Platforms (e.g. Eloqua, Adobe Campaign, Marketo), Customer Data or Data Management Platforms (e.g. Bluekai, Adobe Experience Platform , AWS) analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)


  • Working Knowledge of Digital/Virtual technology tools (On24, Workfront, Eloqua, Marketo, Seismic, Ceros)


  • Expertise in requirements gathering; developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and identifying use cases


  • Experience leading projects or initiatives


  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable deliverables


  • Exceptional written, verbal and motivational skills


  • Strong organization and communication/facilitation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences


  • Proficiency with project management platforms including JIRA, WorkFront
