The Supervisor Service Operations is responsible for the direct supervision of the Service Operations Team. The Supervisor manages the day-to-day activity and performance of direct reports to ensure compliance of all Forward Air and Service operations employees. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing strategies to improve efficiencies in department in pursuit of meeting or exceeding retention, deadhead, layover, and/or waiting time goals and to ensure all personnel are properly trained and utilize available tools as needed. This position reports directly to the Manager, SMF Service Operations
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervises and develops Service Ops employees on the PM/Late week shift.
Assist in the direction of Logistic Operations personnel that support the fleet during "off hours
Guide your staff to provide strong advocacy on behalf of their trucks to encourage retention
Consistently communicate at a professional level with all direct reports, customers, vendors, and Forward Air employees
Develop and provide appropriate measures and reports to monitor key metrics
Monitor performance and available hours of Fleet Drivers
Other duties as assigned

Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
