The Safety Associate will support a safety-working environment by completing various safety and production tasks, which will include hands on training and working in the production line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform safety monthly, weekly and daily walks
Conduct safety audits
Learn how to perform key positions in the organization to be able to understand the safety aspects of the job
Perform and maintain all daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly EMIS Tasks
Have presence on production floor to review status of safety-related actions
Conduct various department inspections
Participate in the Safety Committee
Assist the safety supervisor with safety projects
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
Train new hires and position transfer
Conduct group and or individual safety trainings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to adapt in a fast passed environment and embrace change openly
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
Must be able to work over time when needed including Saturdays
Must be able to work under must whether conditions such as cold, rain, and hot days
Must use the assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: Safety Glasses, ear plugs, and safety gloves
Must be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team in a time and safety sensitive environment
Able to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adapt in a fast passed environment and embrace change openlyMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
