A Magnet designated hospital located in the heart of Virginia is currently seeking an experienced Lead Medical Lab Technologist to join their highly accredited healthcare organization.

The Lead Medical Lab Technologist will join an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including board certified pathologists and physicians. Under direction of the Manager and Director of Laboratory Services, the Lead Medical Lab Technologist will coordinate the technical operations of the second-shift staff which runs from 1pm-8:30pm. The Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform chemical microscopic bacteriologic and other medical laboratory tests and examinations.

The Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist will oversee the second shift staff which works from 1pm-8:30pm, Monday-Friday. The Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist must have an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science and current ASCP certification. At least three years of prior experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist is required.
