Manager, Data Analytics

BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Manager, Data Analytics to our Finance team.  The Manager, Data Analytics will be proficient in modern business intelligence platforms, will work with executive and management teams to directly influence business development, improve operational outcomes and raise risk awareness. In addition, this leader will directly influence the tools, techniques and internal processes that are utilized to transform both internal business intelligence and data analytics capabilities.

The position will lead a team of financial and data analysts and will be accountable for efficient and accurate administration of corporate business intelligence, customer rebates, and master data governance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Closely interact with Biotronik leadership to analyze complex business issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights and actionable recommendations. 


• Partner with IT to improve and/or automate steps in financial processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.


• Oversee the development of key finance and operational insights within the Qlik Sense BI platform to guide users to relevant and actionable decisions.


• Translate business needs into analytics/reporting specifications and implementation project plans, while monitoring and controlling costs.


• Develop and ensure compliance with data & analytics governance policies, rules, standards and best practices.


• Support data engineers with best solutions to meet data & analytics governance needs.


• Escalate and manage data quality concerns as appropriate.


• Oversee the administration of customer rebates, pricing master data, commission statement generation, and account territory master data.


• Manage, develop, and mentor a team of analysts, including employee goal setting, coaching, hiring, retention, and performance monitoring.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other technical fields (Math/Sciences/Statistics/Data Analytics).


• Master’s degree preferred (MS in Statistics or Economics or other quantitative discipline is preferred, or MBA with Marketing Analytics/Decision Science Concentration)


• 5-8 years of progressively expanding experience in finance, data analytics, business intelligence, and/or reporting.


• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, both technical and non-technical team members.


• Proven leadership experience with business intelligence implementations and transformations, in a fast paced environment.


• Hands on knowledge of statistical methods and techniques (predictive modeling, segmentation, regression, etc.).


• Working knowledge of financial systems and business intelligence tools (preferably SAP, Qlik Sense, SalesForce).


• Proficient with MS Office.


• Proficient in SQL or data query and system interaction for use in business analysis and testing efforts.


• Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and issue resolution.


• Experience presenting findings and actionable recommendations.


• Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.


• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of business intelligence professionals.
