UPS Cartage Services Inc., is currently seeking a Gateway Sr. Air Import Agent to impact the organization by assisting in the completion of daily activities for the International Air Gateway. He/She will track/trace customer information and provide problem resolution. The ideal Gateway Sr. Air Import Agent will have at least one year customer service experience in a fast-paced inbound/outbound air freight environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages processes for international import shipments, including data entry and documentation handling for international shipments
Acts as a liaison between UPS Freight Forwarding and external/internal customers, and manages customer expectations
Works as HAZMAT (certified) acceptance auditor
Liaises with air carriers, overseas offices, governmental agents, other internal workgroups, and management
Reviews Masterbill Termination Report for recovery exceptions, and conducts HAZMAT audits (certified) as assigned
Trains newly hired agents in the Import department

Extensive understanding of international import air freight routing or ability to acquire desired knowledge
Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Computer proficiency and software applications skills and knowledge
Knowledge of certificate of origin, bill of lading, and customs documentation - Preferred
