Who we need:


  • An individual with a communications degree or equivalent work experience is preferred

  • A creative person experienced in developing and managing social media content for brand management

  • Someone with excellent customer service skills in person, over the phone and in writing

  • A person who enjoys face to face communications with a diverse group of people

  • An organized, adaptive and collaborative individual that can effectively multi-task

 

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develop content, monitor and manage Cash Explosion’s website and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

  • Respond to customer comments and questions on social media and the Cash Explosion website

  • Provide regular reports and metrics on social media performance and website activities

  • Interact with customers via phone, email and live discussions at various promotions and special events

  • Ensure accurate and updated information is available to our customers

  • Work collaboratively with Game Show Bureau team members and other Lottery co-workers

JOB DUTIES FROM OFFICIAL POSITION DESCRIPTION ON FILE

Plans & directs digital content segment of Game Show Bureau’s overall public information program in accordance with the annual digital plan:  Prepares & disseminates digital informational material reflecting Cash Explosion’s activities & performs related program activities (e.g., creates digital content; posts content; monitors assigned social media channels (e.g., website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) on a daily basis; responds to & engages with customers on social media; etc.); develops, prepares, writes, types, edits & updates information on various Cash Explosion initiatives, promotions, ticket releases, special events, etc.; works directly with the public on a daily basis in execution of assigned job duties (i.e., has significant level of contact (e.g., face-to-face, telephone, customer correspondence, etc.) with the public).

 

Performs public relations duties & interacts with contestants:  Advises & consults with supervisor regarding public relations aspects of game show; serves as resource person for positive public presentation of Game Show Bureau programs & activities; coordinates with co-workers to notify & communicate with contestants; greets & briefs contestants on game show rules & regulations; attends show tapings that will be televised for the public; works at promotional events to promote game show to public; distributes game show promotional merchandise to public; provides accurate game show information to stakeholders; researches & responds to inquiries & complaints.

 

Performs other game show related duties:  Verifies contestant documentation for gameplay; works with Auditor of State to ensure procedural compliance; loads Cash Explosion game boards & verifies accuracy of same; monitors gameplay during tapings; obtains sales agent information; compiles weekly data; complies with records retention schedule; maintains files; answers office phones & provides information; performs other duties & works on special projects as directed.

Completion of undergraduate core program in journalism or communication; 6 months experience in public multi-media techniques & relations in field of journalism or communication; valid driver's license.

OR:  30 months experience in field of journalism or communication dealing in public multi-media techniques & relations, public speaking, news writing, reporting & editing or technical report translation & communication dealing in public meetings; valid driver's license.

OR:  12 months experience as Public Information Specialist, 64420; valid driver's license.

OR:  Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
