Job Details: Serve on the Integrated Information Management Systems – Information Technology Support Services (IIMS-ITSS) contract as a Enterprise Management, System Administration (SA) Lead for the JSSC at the Pentagon, Washington DC, responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of multiple JSSC owned/operated systems and providing customer application development/administration supporting systems within the National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command and Control System (NCCS) Operating Environment (OE) with a technical focus on UNIX/Linux and a combination of Oracle, VMWare, NetApp hardware/software, and IBM Tivoli Applications/Enterprise Management Applications.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for providing high level, Tier III technical systems administrative support and direction for the NCCS OE, associated systems and custom interfaces and applications supporting JSSC operations.


• Understanding of tasks associated with UNIX/Linux administration, Oracle database administration, data management, network infrastructure management, and software management in production and testing environments using multiple different applications and supporting software environments to include, but not limited to NetApp and IBM Tivoli


• Ability to plan and lead major technology assignments across a matrixed team of technicians, evaluate performance results and recommend major changes across multiple project simultaneously


• Provide systems engineering support on large-scale systems, major system elements, and/or interfacing systems, prepare strategic and implementation plans for larger-scale information systems


• Prepare system architecture and designs including software, hardware, communications and interface requirements, performs systems definition, trade-off and design activities and reviews/evaluates/analyzes system designs


• Prepare/review/evaluate system documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures, conducts analysis, to define, analyze and allocate system requirements, support system tests and analyze testing results,


• Conduct analysis of system requirements and components and perform system audits to ensure all intended system functionality, operations and performance requirements are achieved 


• Analyze diagnostics of applications, system and vendor software, and resolve operating system/database management system/application system performance/challenges, with in-depth experience  in installation, troubleshooting, analysis, design, repair, preventive maintenance, engineering and administration


• Create/Engineer custom applications and or processes to include creating web applications, developing script bases tasks, building custom applications, installing/configuring different applications, and


• Operating and maintaining the custom applications while ensuring version control and providing software packaging and delivery support


• Exercise sound independent judgement in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria associated with obtaining results under this contract; and identify upgrade needs,


• Anticipate customer requirements by effectively planning, scheduling, and overseeing system upgrades and interact with both customer and contract leadership relating complex technical issues/solutions in a manner to establish a partnership


• Improve the customer's operating environment by providing expert support while also maintaining the cybersecurity/IA posture of systems/hardware managed/administered for both JSSC and JSSC's customers' assets


• Exercise sound judgement with an ability to follow provided processes,  procedures and checklists associated with obtaining results under this contract, compliance with all training, safety, and security standards and perform other duties/projects as assigned

Education and Experience: 

Required

• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) Certification


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 8 years of experience providing system/database administration support to include customer application development and or;


• Providing system/database administration support in network and software development environments ensuring mission success in support of DoD unclassified/classified networking environments; 


• Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.


• Minimum active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to be Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) indoctrinated

Preferred

• DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification: CompTIA Security+CE


• CE Certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Desired

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3 Foundation Certification
